Course Outcomes
1. Explain the specified requirements needed to conduct a base-line risk assessment.
The learner will understand the process of identifying hazards and assessing the
associated risks, as well as the information required to conduct the baseline risk
assessment. Will have clear direction as to the definitions and the applications of
the base line risk assessment. Will understand the sequence of applying control
measures with identified hazards and the importance of identifying, dealing with
and reporting of hazards. The application of different types of risk assessments.
2. Prepare to conduct a baseline risk assessment
The learner will have clear understanding as to the relevant documents required
based on previously identified hazards, risks and associated risks, incidents and
control measures. Team members are trained to foster teamwork and avoid
conflict in the workplace.
3. Conduct a baseline risk assessment
The learner will have clear understanding as to the identification of hazards and
risks identified and have practical knowledge on using available standards. Provide
the learner with adequate knowledge to prepare a risk profile, record deviations
and prepare a report.
4. Initiate remedial action for hazards identified and risks assessed.
The learner will have clear understanding and practical knowledge on the
identification of correct control measures, how to record deviations and know
which actions are to be taken, compliant to specified operational standards. Final
reports are completed, submitted to correct personnel timeously and dates are
proposed for subsequent control assessments.
